That’s it for Telephone!
We’re changing things up! Check back next week for the announcement regarding the update schedule for the next story and our 2014 convention schedule!
Thanks for reading!
STATUS: turns out August’s computer problems were signs of the end for Ginger’s desktop! Now Chris’ laptop is having some memory issues that are repairable but it puts a further delay on things.
We think it’ll only be a short delay! But in case we’re wrong, that’s what’s up. Please stay tuned to this page, the RSS, or the twitter feed and we’ll let you know when we’re back! Thanks.
Thanks everyone who attended our GenCon event! Below are the links to books and websites we would like to share with you.

Tips for Writers Looking for Artists
Look for meetups in your area on meetup.com.
Network at meetups, at comic shows, online and keep contact info on file.
Make your pitch as solid as possible so the artist can understand your vision.
Try laying out a few pages to gain some understanding of how your script might translate into comic form.
Try doing a mini-comic (8-12 pages) to see if you gel as a team.
Mini-comic = First Date
Graphic Novel = Marriage
See if there are college students interested in working with you, but don’t pitch them “This will be great for your portfolio.” Artists hate that.
Find or build a comics community either on the web or in real life. Look for a group you’ll learn from and be encouraged by.
Last week my free time was spent with Adobe customer service (because all of the programs that we use to finish our comics dropped mysteriously) and then I got sick! So unfortunately I won’t have a page for you tomorrow (August 6th). Barring more problems we’ll post on August 13th.
I did not recover as quickly as I had hoped. This weekend will be packed with preparations for GenCon. I will be unable to work on the comic before GenCon, and as you may suspect, I will be unable to work on it during GenCon. We may not be back for a until the 27th and we will be in Chicago for a business event and… well.
For this I am truly sorry. This illness could not have come at a more inconvenient time. I love working on this comic and I hate giving you reasons why I can’t do it. Please continue to be patient. I really appreciate all the RT’s, the views, and the shares.
